Gym wear

With 2014 just around the corner and after a week or two of over indulgence during the Christmas holidays I'm sure I'm not alone with my new years resolution - to hit the gym and hit it hard! With that in mind I decided to take a trip to penneys (primark) and buy as many gym clothes as my purse would allow! Heres what I got :)

running shorts, €6

mint colour tank top, €5

3/4 length jogging pants, €8

 peach colour top €4

Nike sports bra from Champion sports, €25

when it comes to sports bras I think it is very important to buy a good quality one as it will provide you with the correct support to your chest and back while working out. I purchased this Nike one in Champion Sport for €25 in a size small. I thought this was a very reasonable price as it will last me for years. Other sports bras can cost as much as €40 to €50 but do provide you with even extra support than the type pictured above and go by bra size (rather than small/medium/large) so it is easier to choose the correct size. The only thing I dislike about this type of sports bra is that there is no clip as the back to put it on or take it off, so you have to pull it over your head which may get annoying if you are tired and sweaty after a workout!

Soap and Glory flake away body polish

Many people suffer from dry skin during winter so I took it upon myself to look for the best solution, and here it is... Soap and glory flake away body polish! :)

cost : around €8 per 300 ml tub
main ingredients : sea salt, sugar shea butter, sweet almond oil and peach seed powder

I have been using this product myself for a while now and find it the most effective out of all the other exfoliators and creams that I have tried and tested.
For the best results this is what i do:

  1.  pat skin dry with a towel after stepping out of the shower (rubbing may irritate the skin and also cause it to dry out)
  2.  apply a handful onto any patches of skin that are prone to dryness
  3.  rub into skin, use a towel to take off the excess product and apply a moisturizer.
This is slightly different to the instructions on the tub which say to rinse off the excess. I used to apply it in the shower and let the warm water melt it away however I found that the method explained above gives me the best results.  :)
I really cannot recommend this product enough, it has done wonders to my skin, leaving it silky smooth and moisurized! I really hope people out there give it a try if they're not already using it! It can be purchased on the boots website seen below :)

nopolka.com

just a quick review on the online clothes shop nopolka.com  :)
this company is based in Dublin, Ireland and was estabhlised only last year in June 2012.

I only recently came across this website and had never purchased anything off them until a few days ago. I ordered this dress pictured below as it is very flattering, I love the bold red colour (perfect for the festive season) and the long sleeves are great for anyone who is conscious of their arms :) The price was €28 plus €5 for postage. I live in Ireland myself so when I ordered it on wedenesday it arrived two days later which I was very surprised and pleased with!

I had reservations about using this site as I didn't know anyone who had used it before so I wasn't sure what the quality of the clothing would be like. However I was very happy with it and the colour of the dress was very similar to the online picture.

they offer free european delivery on orders over €30.  for any order below this price : standard irish delivery (1 to  3 working days) or european delivery  (4 to 7 days) cost €5.

overall I was very happy with my shopping experience on this site and would definitely order from them again as they are fashionable, affordable and reliable :)  Here are a few more items I liked on the site.

velvet body con dress, €20

dusty pink and dark floral

Today I'm going to write about two big trend this season, dusty pink and dark florals. I think both these trends look well if they are mixed and matched together and floral patterned clothes are guaranteed to be popular in the spring too, so really they are a staple for any wardrobe! :)

Here are just a few of my favourite pieces...

over sized coats are huge this season and this tailored coat is from Missguided.eu, priced at €47.58 plus extra charges for delivery.

Topshop.com have a great selection of over sized pink coats as seen below:
this fluffy swing boyfriend coat in pale pink is £89.00 (the currency is in English pounds, so it will be more expensive when converted to euro, around €106).

I saw this dark floral midi tube skirt in Topshop a few weeks ago and fell in love with it immediately. It would be perfect worn with a dusty pink cami.... a simple look yet combines two of the hottest trends this season. Even though I loved it I was unsure whether to get it or not. However I did know that I would get value for money as I could roll it up to turn it into a shorter skirt during the summer.

Beauty Review: Lush mint julip peppermint and chocolate sugar lip scrub

Today I am going to review the peppermint flavour lip scrub from Lush. I had never used a lip scrub before as I never thought there was any need to exfoliate my lips, however I really enjoyed this product. I bought it for around €6 in Lush in Dublin while I was visiting my friend. This price may seem a bit steep for a lip scrub but I think it's really worth it as it will last a long time, only a little bit of the product is needed at each application.

Mint Julips

Some the ingredients include castor sugar, flavour, jojoba oil, peppermint oil and vanilla extract.
To use it you just apply a small amount to your lips and scrub them (don't worry it doesn't hurt your lips!) until all the granules are gone, or else just lick off the excess! After exfoliationg you can apply lip balm if you want, but I usually just apply vasaline or a neutral lip gloss.

The peppermint oil leaves your lips feeling tingly for a small while and also acts as a natural lip plumper to give you fuller looking lips without having to go under the knife! This is one of the main reasons why I like this product! :) The sweet vanilla extract locks in moisture.

This product also comes in bubblegum, popcorn and cola flavour- I cant wait to try them all! :)
Overall I was very happy with this product, I use it three to four times a week and would recommend it to anyone who wants fuller looking lips :)

Missguided wishlist

Hey guys, everyone seems to be doing blogs lately so I said I'd start on myself as it's something I've wanted to do for a while now :) I'm basically just going to write about the latest fashion trends, recent purchases and clothes I want. Seeing as I'm new to all this I'm just going to start off with my wishlist from Missguided.eu and hopefully the more I'll get better with each blog I post :)

first off is this bodysuit which is reduced from €19.50 to €13.65 ... bargain! everyone seems to be wearing them lately and they are very versatile tops which can be worn with jeans, denim shorts, disco pants or skirts

http://www.missguided.eu/achina-cut-out-halterneck-bodysuit-89042

Next up is this cute tartan dungaree. It is €27.86 but is only available in sizes 6 (34), 10 (38) and 12 (40). I've wanted a nice playsuit for a long time now which I could wear both on a night out and in college and while looking on Missguided.eu I stumbled upon this. Not quit a playsuit but I still love it because it can be worn to college, out shopping etc. with tights or on a night out with heels and a crop top. Tartan is also huge this season so this dungaree ticks every box in my opinion :)

http://www.missguided.eu/korsina-tartan-dungaree

this next dress is from the ''sweetdeal''  section of the website, where every item of clothing is €18 or less. It comes in at an amazing €13.92.  I love the bold red colour as it is very eyecatching but it also comes in grey and navy. I think it would be perfect for something like a college ball or even a wedding if combined with some statement jewelry, and at a price like that you just cant go wrong!

this cream playsuit with sequence heart detail at the top is €40.78 and is perfect for the party season.

finally is this black jumpsuit with lace detail at the top is also perfect for the party season. Missguided have a great choice of jumpsuits at the moment ranging in price from a basic jumpsuit at €22 to the more detailed, stylish jumpsuits coming in at around €50 to €70 which have been wore by celebrities such as Perrie Edwards from Little Mix and Nicole Scherzinger.
